Be Your Own Mentor
Be Your Own Mentor was co-created by Rachel Griffin and Rosiee Thor. With the demand for mentorship programs like Pitch Wars and Author Mentor Match growing, there are always talented writers who aren’t selected, or who don’t feel like a public program is right for them. Be Your Own Mentor aims to give writers the tools they need to revise and get query-ready on their own.
Pitch Wars
Pitch Wars is a mentorship program where more established writers and publishing professionals choose a writer and spend three months helping them revise their manuscript and polish their pitch and query letter. It culminates in an agent showcase where agents read a pitch and first page excerpt and can request to read more. Rachel was a mentee in 2016 and has been mentoring since 2017.
