How I Outline and Set Up a New Project in Scrivener

A while back, I asked on Instagram if anyone would be interested in a tutorial showing how I outline in Scrivener using the Save the Cat! beat sheet, as well as how I set up a new project. It turns out a lot of people were interested, so I made a vide tutorial showing exactly what I do! (Please forgive the narrow size—I framed it this way so it would be easy to see on Instagram.)

For those of you who don't know, Scrivener is an incredible program for writers that stores all your notes, research, images, and anything else you need in one place. It costs $49, but they offer a 30-day free trial!

If you're new to Scrivener, I would HIGHLY suggest watching the tutorials before diving in. Scrivener can be a little overwhelming, so it's definitely worth taking the time to get to know how to use it. I'm sure I'm not even using half the functionality of this program, but I use what works for me, and I could never imagine working without it again. I use it for my first draft, as well as my initial revisions, and it has been a total game-changer for me.

I hope this tutorial is helpful!!
